There's nothing i cant stand more than when people say to me 'I hate L.A.!' it's then that i know it's exactly these people that don't even know what the F#@! they're talking about.

Los Angeles IS our culture, our history, our future. L.A. is BAD ASS yo!
If you can take some time to explore the so many things that are going on- all of the movement and art and music that is being done - if you are city folk at all - you will appreciate!
My bloodline brings me from East L.A. from back in the Pachuco/Zuit Suit days in the 50's. I will never forget where i come from and where we still are. This is our home.
YES- there is struggle, strife and crime. Over 40,000 homeless on the streets. Trash, dirt, delapitated buildings. It's a city, though! And what's amazing is that you can have all of that - but there is still beauty, culture, incredible happenings, life and hope. Look closely, man. Look outside-it's there. It's everywhere.
This last weekend my tribal family and I were at the We The People festival in downtown, which was located on a historical stretch of a somewhat empty lot off of Alameda.
Farmlab is now there, and doing some pretty fucking cool art installments and organic farming on-site. If you're lucky you can catch an old film showing under one of the bridges down there.
Please check them out when you can:
Here's some pics i shot while taking a moment to appreciate.
Randy Newman said it best back in the day - and i can still stand by him strongly and proudly by saying: I LOVE L.A!
Peace brothers and sisters Angel~a
